The UNICEF Evaluation Office is currently looking for EVALUATION consultants with extensive experience in assessing the quality and effectiveness of polio/cholera programs at the global level. While some technical medical knowledge is appreciated, we are not interested in Polio/cholera specialists per se (e.g., medical doctors with clinical experience only). We are rather looking for consultants with demonstrated experience in global health evaluations (better if with the UN and global institutions), with a good understanding of methods to assess the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of processes and operations on the ground.
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted to hold an oral interview (In English) with the UNICEF hiring team. While the specific ToR are not yet available at this stage, we are currently collecting expressions of interest. Please note that the first assignment in this area is due to start in September and end by November 2024 (2 consultants for 30-35 days – Days will be spread over 2-3 months). Contracting is expected to be completed by the end of August.
If you fully meet all the selection criteria above, please email us at evalofficeapplications@unicef.org and send us:
- Your daily rate (in US dollars) and
- Your CV highlighting experience with similar assignments. Please make sure to include the following SUBJECT LINE in capital letters: CHOLERA/POLIO RESPONSE EVALUATION
- Sample work related as much as possible to the focus of this consultancy assignment (please email your deliverables in a zip format).
Deadline: Sunday August 4, 2024 (6:00 pm NY time)
