The Community of Evaluators-South Asia (CoE-SA) and the Evaluation Association of Bhutan (EAB) will host the Evaluation Conclave 2025 in Colombo, Sri Lanka, from May 27th to 30th, 2025. The event, themed “Future-Ready Evaluation – Integrating Voices and Localizing Evaluation for Global Impact,” will feature a Summit for the Future of Evaluation, organized in collaboration with the Eval4Action campaign and its co-leaders.
This conclave will focus on the ongoing transformation of the evaluation discourse, emphasizing inclusivity, equity, and adaptability to future challenges. The main goal is to build a future-ready evaluation ecosystem by integrating diverse local voices to maximize global impact. The event will explore the need to improve context-relevant evidence while preparing evaluation practices for future opportunities and challenges, such as demographic shifts, crises, and new technologies like AI and big data.
The increasing role of youth in evaluation will also be a key focus, as will the importance of evaluation education and training. In the specific context of South Asia, where national evaluation policies are still developing, the event will highlight the relevance of localized and forward-looking approaches to address the region’s persistent challenges. The Evaluation Conclave and the Summit aim to serve as a platform for dialogue and innovation towards a more inclusive and sustainable future.
