28augAll Day31Designing rigorous and inclusive impact evaluations with a Participatory Impact Assessment and Learning Approach (PIALA)

Event Details

Designing rigorous and inclusive impact evaluations with PIALA (Participatory Impact Assessment and Learning Approach).

This 4-day course runs from 28 to 31 August 2017 at the Stone Lodge, Asutsuare in Ghana.
The course is for evaluation commissioners, managers and practitioners who want to learn about making thoughtful design decisions to maximize the value of an impact evaluation in terms of:• evaluating systems change at scale• assessing causality in the absence of baselines and control groups• facilitating solid debate with stakeholders about sustainability and inclusiveness of impact• enabling meaningful participation without compromising on rigour (thus walking the talk of ‘leaving no one behind’).
PIALA is a theory-based and mixed-methods approach that seeks to address these challenges by offering a set of key design principles, standards, elements and options.
